Generali combining environmental performance and awareness of biodiversity

Generali constantly seeks to improve the performance of its buildings with HQE® Exploitation certification and wanted to improve communication to involve stakeholders (tenants, facility occupants, etc.) in environmental initiatives within the frameworkof certification. As property owner, the company wanted to combine its approach for building environmental performance and projects that bring tenant companies together and create social bonds.

To improve buildings’ environmental performance while raising occupants’ awareness, ekodev provided several solutions.

ekodev set up 3 hives on the top of Eureka building in Nanterre and 2 hives on the top of Terra Nova 5 building in Montreuil. The first events (hives inauguration, introduction to beekeeping, etc.) generated enthusiasm and the tenants were eager to see more activities. A photography exhibition about the forest, reforestation and forest conservation projects with local communities in developing countries was set up to raise employees’ awareness of greenhouse gas emissions or the impact of paper printing.

It’s a pleasure to work with people who are motivated and impelling about the importance of sustainable development.

ekodev gave a prompt answer to all our questions (tenant safety, maintenance interventions, management, etc.) and organised events to involve site occupants in these initiatives. ekodev is reliable and motivated to manage urban beekeeping projects and is skilled at organising events on many subjects.
