Aelia takes the opportunity of its head office moving to reduce its carbon footprint

Aelia wanted to compare its new head office’s carbon footprint to its former office’s.

The duty free retailer wanted to leave no stone unturned and seize the opportunity of changing site to make a commitment to protect the environment. It asked ekodev to measure and compare the two head offices’ carbon footprints.

ekodev measured the two carbon footprints. With the new head office, Aelia decided to go further and expand its scope: they defined new follow-up indicators and included another warehouse in the analysis. The Bilan Carbone® lead to many recommendations: print rationalization, waste and perishable goods management (food and electronic products).

Aelia has set targets for its sustainable performance.

We have a social commitment with “Action Against Hunger”: customers and employees are involved in micro-donations and a corporate run to support the association. To prove our commitment to protect the environment, we have decided to measure our carbon footprint and raise awareness among our employees to involve them in this initiative.
