In 2014, EnerSys’ clients were becoming more and more concerned about the environmental impact of battery production. In response, EnerSys decided to measure its flagship products’ carbon footprint. Their collaboration with ekodev began with a voluntary measurement of battery production’s carbon footprint. The results were presented to salespeople, who now have precise information on the carbon impact of the products they sell.
This first collaboration was naturally followed by a full mandatory greenhouse gas reporting for the year 2014.
At the end of 2015, EnerSys aksed ekodev to teach their teams how to implement a mobility plan on their own. Thanks to this technical support, the site of Arras analysed its employees’ mobility habits and the use of its carfleet. This analysis made it possible to define actions to improve everyone’s commute and thus reduce their carbon footprint as much as possible.
