Foch Hospital is subject to the French regulation called “Plan de Protection de l’Atmosphère” (Atmophere Protection Plan) which requires the implementation of a mobility plan. The hospital didn’t fully understand it and didn’t know how to broach the subject; it needed help to set up a relevant approach and bring together all the concerned parties around the project. Beyond regulatory obligations, the hospital’s mobility plan aims to improve employees’ working conditions and well-being through better mobility practices.
First, ekodev studied the accessibility to the site and carried out a survey on employees’ mobility habits. To raise awareness among employees, involve them in the mobility plan and incite them to respond to the survey, ekodev organised events. For instance, a contest with prizes to win is a good way to draw people in.
The results of accessibility and mobility studies can be used to set modal shift goals and to suggest recommendations and an action plan to achieve them and improve employees’ standard of living and reduce the environmental and economic impacts of their journeys.
